A couple weeks ago I was on ebay and I usually try searching for old games that I really loved or are rare when I’m on. Anyways, I decided to search for Marvel vs Capcom 2, which is one of the best capcom fighting games ever made. It just so happened that there was some guy in Virginia selling a MvC 2 arcade machine for only $400 bucks! And I mean the big one, the showcase cabinet, if you don’t know, these go for like five grand brand new and this guy had kept his in his house and in great condition. Needless to say I couldn’t not bid on it. I end up winning it for $601, still a great deal. And after much pain, found a company to pick it up, pack it, and ship it to me… woot woot. I actually got the message today that it was picked up and was on its 2,190 mile journey to me. I can’t wait to play this with some of my old gamer buddies. Here’s a screenshot

So last night there was a full lunar eclipse. I decided that since I'd never seen one myself I'd stay up to check it out. I'm usually up late anyways so staying up another hour or two wasn't really hard for me. From what I read online the west coast and mid-pacific ocean areas were gonna have the best vantage point. I decided I'd take a look around 3:30 AM to see it while it was going through its "Umbra" phase. Thats when the moon is fully in the Earth's shadow and it glows with a soft rusty red color. It was pretty cool. I tried to take a couple photos but my Canon SD700 point and shoot camera, but it wasn't up to the challenge. It also made me wish I owned a telescope so I could see it up close, but I'll have to wait till another time I guess. Here's a lil' descriptive image I found on msnbc.com.

So I finally got around to creating a mephisto blog on my Site5 account. I bought the 5 buck plan way back in January so this is really late coming. Though I really didn't know what I wanted to put on here, so I'll use that as an excuse. I didn't really find any themes that I liked, this one I'm using now is called Lucid and it comes from Typo. It looks pretty clean to me, so I'll use it while I work on my own custom one. Anyways this blog will consist of my ramblings, work, and other tidbits.
